Luster Products is Hiring an Administrative Assistant, Research and Development Department Near Chicago, IL

Job Description

Our goal is to continue being the world’s leading African-American owned manufacturer of premium personal care products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the VP and the R&D team, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, maintaining customer databases, preparing reports, and building and preserving customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and making travel arrangements.
  • Assist the R&D team with administrative tasks, including preparing proposals, generating reports, and creating presentations.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, clients, and partners in a timely and professional manner.
  • Orders and ships POS materials to the Regional Managers and brokers.
  • Initiates requisitions, and processes purchase orders for payment.
  • Responsible for timekeeping both direct and indirect subordinates of the R&D Team
  • Maintain accurate records and databases
  • Coordinate and manage meetings and events, including scheduling, logistics, and preparation of materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations and communications.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of administrative support experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate and relay information in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with company and client information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
