Description
* This position is located in Austin, TX.*
The Analyst - Treasury is responsible for analysis of the Company's cash positioning through modeling, projections, actuals, and reporting. This position will collaborate closely with internal departments and stakeholders in analyzing American Campus Communities' cashflow, anticipated cash needs, and distributions.
Critical Duties:
  • Forecast cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Assist in analyzing variances between projections and actual results and adjusting any financial models to refine future forecasts as needed.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support investment and operational decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze bank account balances, transfers, and disbursements.
  • Assist with the creation of accurate and timely financial reporting packages, including cash flow forecasts and treasury performance metrics that will be distributed to senior leadership.
  • Assist with bank account administration including, but not limited to: maintaining banking relationships, opening and closing accounts, updating bank signatories, platform access and user entitlements, responding to Know Your Customer (KYC) requests, etc.
  • Assist with the development of cash management procedures, guidelines, and company policies.
Essential Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Work cross functionally and in conjunction with internal stakeholders in all necessary areas related to treasury functions and cash forecasting.
  • Support treasury technology initiatives and collaborate on system implementation projects to improve automation.
  • Assist with revolver draws, pay downs, and interest calculations.
  • Assist with the quarterly compliance certificate and borrowing base associated with the Company's credit facility.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of financial modeling and current Excel functions/features to ensure efficiency in all daily processes.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience in Finance, Treasury, and/or FP&A.
