The Engineered Systems Salesperson will be responsible for generating and managing detailed fire, security, CCTV and access control protection system layouts and designs, shop drawings, calculations and product submittal documents from Sales/Estimating through Construction complying with NFPA standards, building codes, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Design systems.
• Compile and prepare plan submittals and material submittals for review by architects, engineers, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction. 
• Coordinate fire alarm design with existing structure and other subcontractors. 
• Communicate with Sales, Estimating and other departments to optimize design efficiency for fabrication and installation of systems. 
• Perform battery and voltage drop calculations for fire alarm systems. 
• Detail the design for fabrication and prepare installation drawings. 
• Review project updates for change orders. 
• Perform field surveys for initial drawing layout as well as follow-up for accuracy and coordination. 
• Participate in internal and external coordination and progress meetings. 
• Participate in Lunch & Learn presentations and networking groups
• Other job duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

• Thorough understanding of general construction methods, practices, and terminology. 
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. 
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, with demonstrated ability to manage a large and diverse number of projects. 
• High level of self-discipline, motivation and ability to operate in a team environment. 
• Superior organizational and time management skills 
• Strong knowledge of local and national fire and building codes & government regulations 

 Education/Experience: 

• Five (5) years of experience in fire protection design with demonstrated competency in project management 
• NICET certification Level II or above 
• Knowledge of and fluency within floor plan programs
