OVERVIEW

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an industry-leading battery metal and critical materials technology development and commercialization company. Our pilot plant in Mc Carran, Nevada will be the first integrated implementation of our multi-step processing train for the full mechanical processing, physical separations, chemical extractions, and production of commercial-scale battery metals that will be resold back into the battery manufacturing supply chain to enact a low-cost, low-environmental impact, and domestically sourced closed-loop circular economy.

ABOUT THE JOB

As our Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of production operators to achieve required production and quality standards in a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate will develop reliable systems that will set a solid foundation for best practices to be followed throughout the facility. You will guide your team to produce reliable and consistent results with a focus on meeting the goals and objectives set forth by the Plant Manager. You will demonstrate proactive and effective leadership and will develop tools to maintain a reliable workforce. Your team will rely on you to be present, engaged, and reliable to maximize efficiency in an ever-changing environment. This position will report to the Plant Manager. The shift will be Sunday-Wednesday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Monitor the production process to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)

·Train employees on job duties and safety procedures

·Collaborate with multiple department managers to ensure compliance is achieved throughout the facility

·Lead a diverse team that optimizes performance and productivity

·Identify risks to performance and lead in resolving issues when possible

·Communicate complex ideas and information effectively, both verbally and in writing

·Monitor KPIs, adjusting where necessary

·Ability to prioritize responsibilities to manage a quality team efficiently

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum required qualifications:

5 years of supervisory experience

Knowledge of OSHA manufacturing requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Preferred qualifications:

·B.A. or B.S degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or Industrial Technology

·Previous experience as a Shift Manager in a plant/manufacturing environment

·Experience in lithium-battery recycling

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·Move about the Pilot Plant

·Ability to wear required PPE as needed

·Ability to move up and down ladders or stairs

·Ability to lift and carry plant and laboratory equipment 25 lbs.
