General Description and Responsibilities

  • Install and program fire alarm systems (non-proprietary and stand-alone)
  • Troubleshoot error codes
  • Representative for local code inspections
  • Ability to work independently and supervise others as required
  • Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided
  • Strong focus on customer service, professionalism, and commitment to top-quality workmanship
  • Adhere to all local, company, and OSHA safety codes, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Work Experience Requirement, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Five years of fire alarm experience
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret electrical/Fire Alarm schematics, blueprints, and manuals
  • Diagnose system malfunctions of fire alarms and adjust, repair, or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance
  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
