The Angus Foundation is seeking candidates for aDonor Coordinator in its St. Joseph, MO office. The position of Donor Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the promotion of the Angus Foundation’s education, youth and research activities and related fund-raising efforts alongside the Executive Director and Administrative Assistant.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in building and fostering relations with Angus breeders, allied industry interests and friends of the Angus breed crucial to the fundraising success of the Angus Foundation and its programs.
• Write newsletters, announcements, and other promotional materials on behalf of the Angus Foundation.
• Assist with communications and marketing plans to creatively promote the Angus Foundation in coordination with the Association’s Communications Team. 
• Designing, creating and writing professional marketing and public relations materials for fund raising campaigns and special events.
• Planning and execution of events; and provides support to event steering committee(s) and volunteers in carrying out their event-associated responsibilities. 
• Represent the Angus Foundation at state, regional and national Angus events.
• Assist with Angus Brand Store merchandise and Shopify website. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills, including writing and interpersonal skills, phone presence and presentation ability. 
• Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be comfortable with applicable computer software and other technology, specifically Adobe Creative products such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
• Must be reliable, dependable and a self-starter. 
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn is a must. 
• Willingness to take initiative and ownership in projects is essential. 
• Must be available to travel up to 20-25% of the time. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree in business, agricultural communications, or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of work experience in an office setting is preferred.
• An agricultural background is a plus but is not required.
