Responsibilities

Job Summary

Under direction of the Director of Nursing, the Charge Nurse oversees the operations of the campus. The Charge Nurse is responsible for assisting in managing all staff on campus, as well as, collaborating with multidisciplinary team. The primary role will be to oversee the safety of clients while in the programming stages of treatment and ensure that all policy and procedures are being followed by all staff.

Duties and Responsibilities: to include but not limited to the following:

  • Assure quality of care by developing and interpreting company philosophies and standards of care; enforce adherence to all regulatory and state agencies
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance by maintaining client confidentiality and protecting confidential information (PHI)
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; and participating in team problem-solving methods
  • Provides objective feedback to employees
  • Provides direct supervision of all staff overnight and monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures, and practices
  • Act as liaison between the clinical, medical, and administrative team to provide the highest quality care for each client
  • In support of a healthy and successful experience, provide a compassionate environment to support clients
  • Creates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies
  • Assists administration in providing quality programming in line with program mission and goals
  • Responsible for the safety functions on campus
  • Will oversee and assist with any incident/accident on campus and ensures reported as required by policy and documentation is completed
  • Will be designated Safety Officer when on duty 
  • Other duties, as needed. 

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • At least two years of Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current RN License in the State where the facility is residing. 
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
