Description
The Warehouse Specialist verifies and enters shipping and receiving data from various source documents, into company ERP system for storage, processing and data management purposes. Part-time hours, possible going to full-time. Ideal for Logistics student. Daytime hours, Monday-Friday.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
•Prepare orders for shipment
•Contact carriers to schedule shipments
•Schedule inbound appointments
•Process receiving paperwork- data entry
•Issue Customer invoice
•Check source documents for accuracy
•Verify data and correct data where necessary
•Obtain further information for incomplete documents
•Update data and delete unnecessary files
•Combine and rearrange data form source documents where required
•Scan documents into document management systems or databases
•Store completed documents in designated locations
•Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
•Comply with data integrity and security policies
•Assist on Warehouse floor as needed, drive forklift
•Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum High School Diploma/GED
•ERP Experience, QAD preferred
•Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office
•Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data efficiently
•Forklift Experience
•Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, reach with arms and hands.
•Must be able to lift and move 10 - 30 lbs on a periodic basis.
•Must be able to use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus ability for examining product
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
•Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving tools
•Moderate to advanced computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
•Strong communication skills both oral and written
•Excellent interpersonal skills required
•Self-motivated, energetic with the ability to think outside the norm
•Strong attention to detail
