Ameresco is Hiring a Sr. Project Manager - Electrical, Mechanical, DDC Near Naples, FL

Ameresco is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Sr. Project Manager to join our team and workin one of the fastest growing segments in today's economy.

As a Ameresco Sr. Project Manager, you will be workingdirectly with Ameresco Partners, Energy Engineers, and Clients on projectsthat will further develop your leadership, project management, communication,management, business/energy engineering skills. As such, "A-player"performance in this role will serve as a launching pad for other ground flooropportunities such as stock options, equity, profit sharing, and other wealthbuilding events.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Responsibilities include: project labor and cost tracking, vendor andsubcontractor negotiation and scheduling, material and equipment buyout, constructionadministration and project profitability projection and responsibility, and revenue projections;

Meet with Owners and internal/external Design Professionalsto implement project requirements, manage client expectations and takeimmediate action to respond to problems, challenges and concerns;

Regularly visit project work sites, clarify and definescopes of work, prepare cost estimates/proposals /budgets, and evaluatecost-benefits for value engineering/alternate designs;

Establish, monitor, communicate, update and maintain projectschedules and utilizing industry standard scheduling methods;

Explore, develop and implement strategies to self-performand/or outsource the project to achieve the projects objectives of price,schedule and quality; including writing scopes of work (SOW), writing Requestsfor Quotes (RFQ’s) and managing competitive bid processes between vendors andsubcontractors.

Negotiate and administer contracts, subcontracts andpurchase orders to assure that all project goals, including budgets, milestonesand engineering intent, are being addressed and delivered;

Conduct/document project progress meetings and proactivelyidentify and prioritize potential issues/problems, then facilitate solutionsamong engineering, operations and client team members.

Manage project costs to ensure budgets are maintained byknowing and documenting progress against estimate, routinely documenting andcalculating estimated cost to complete and project profitability.

Document and manage changes in the work to ensure theinterests of all stakeholders in the project are reasonably met and inalignment with project goals;

Ensure that all aspects of the project are compliant withall contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and thecommunity in which the project(s) takes place;

Oversee Commissioning and startup of new and retrofittedsystems, properly scheduling, coordinating and documenting key milestones andaccomplishments.

Document substantial completion; manage the project closeoutprocess to ensure timely completion;

Plan for and manage project cash flow, including formattingand routine billing/invoicing.

Continuously collaborate with all project and management team members to develop the best execution strategies.

Demonstrates financial reporting expertise (total Job CostReport responsibility) through the consistent use of detailed project-specificreports and reporting mechanisms.

The minimum Qualifications for this position include:

Minimum two yearassociates degree (four year degree preferred) in engineering,construction management or equivalent experience in a similar role;Minimum (5) years’ project management experience with acommercial/ industrial Electrical, Controls or Mechanical Contractor.
A strong understanding of either electrical / building controls/ mechanical and construction means and methods associated with the renovationof commercial and institutional buildings and/or similar facilities.
Demonstrate experience in estimating and managingself-performed and/or subcontracted work including a working knowledge ofmechanical / controls / electrical and general construction type work;
Preferred professional credentials include either Engineerin Training (EIT), or Associate Constructor (AC) in good standing;
High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and othersoftware used in the construction industry;
3 years of experience in government contracting a plus;
Ability to pursue safety credentials (OSHA 30);
Core competencies/skills in the areas of construction,communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, getting results, andproblem solving.
