Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a Associate Project Engineer - Intern to join our team in support the Office of Mental Health's comprehensive Energy Efficiency and Pollution Program (CEEP).
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for site access and building access for ongoing construction services.
Work with site Project Manager on ongoing contact, communication, and coordination with Ameresco customers and subcontractors in the design and construction phases, including project status updates and remedies for delays or other concerns.
Manage, coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality control and that projects installed per design documents, are delivered on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding the customers' expectations.
Evaluate technologies and equipment and recommend most suitable for each application.
Provide all necessary support, reports, and documentation required by Management for project, including technical and other support to sales, engineering and operating functions as needed
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Project Team to prepare and maintain all forms of project presentations, documentation, and related material.
Manage Project to assure accurate record keeping for project to include, daily log, schedule updates, customer interface.
Review, and manage all expenditures for assigned project including ensuring all invoices approved for payment are within budget established in project report and have appropriate purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation.
Foster effective customer, subcontractor and vendor relationships at multiple levels and project phases.
Attend weekly construction meetings at jobsite.
Analyze proposals, prepare spreadsheets, and assist with review meetings; and
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, facility management or energy management fields
Additional Qualifications:
Exposure to large scale construction projects involving upgrades, renovations, and retro-fits involving institutional, government, commercial and industrial customer sites.
Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
Travel required.
