As a Technical Services Engineer within the Quality and Continuous Improvement Group, the member plays a pivotal role in enhancing our finished goods packaging, pallet, warehouse, container optimization, packaging specification management and system development while supporting sustainability opportunities. Working inside the Quality and Continuous Improvement Team partnering with distribution, manufacturing, suppliers, and commercial marketing teams identifying and implementing cost savings and cross functional collaboration. Reports to the Senior Director Compliance and Continuous Improvement.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Finished Goods Packaging Optimization- Analyze and optimize finished goods packaging solutions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product protection during transportation and storage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging designs meet quality and regulatory standards
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize pallet configurations for improved space utilization, stability and cost efficiency in transportation and warehousing
• Develop and conduct testing and analysis criteria to identify opportunities for pallet optimization and implement best practices in partnership with Packaging Engineering
• Partner with Packaging Engineering and the Commercial team and Quality team to manage product specifications throughout lifecycle and implement specification management process
• Ensure accurate and up to date documentation of packaging, materials, dimensions, and performance criteria to meet customer requirements and regulatory standards
• Identify, evaluate, and implement sustainability opportunities proactively within packaging and logistic processes.
• Collaborate with Packaging Engineering and stakeholders to integrate sustainable materials, designs, and practices into packaging solutions, aligning with AmerCareRoyal sustainability goals and industry best practices.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects including plants, distribution and vendor partners to enhance packaging process, reduce costs and increase operational efficiency
• Implement data driven methodologies and performance metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of materials and packaging to support new launches and Commercial and Quality requirements
• Foster strong partnerships with cross functional teams, including Packaging Engineering, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Distribution, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain to drive alignment and achieve business objectives
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, address challenges, implement solutions that meet both technical and commercial needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relatable field
• Proven experience in packaging optimization, specification management and sustainability management within manufacturing, co-manufacturing, or consumer goods environment.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of packaging material, design principles and palletization techniques
• Familiarity with quality management system, Continuous Improvement methodologies in a regulated industry and sustainability framework (life cycle)
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data, preform root cause analysis, drive data driven decision making
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence and engage teams of stakeholders at all levels of organization
• Project Management experience including ability to prioritize tasks manage timelines and deliver results
