AME Community Services, Inc. serves individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and in-home settings.

We are currently looking for a motivated, caring, and energetic staff to work full-time temporary hours this summer with a young lady in Buffalo in her home to help her live her best life! Our ideal candidate is patient and able to teach new skills while encouraging independence and promoting person-centered practices at home and in the community.

Responsibilities include:

· Assisting in ADL's including: bathroom cares, meal preparation/clean up, medication assistance; transfers (sitting to standing; into vehicles, etc), range of motion exercises/stretches, and nail care. The ability to lift 130lbs is required.

· Facilitating the participation of preferred community events and activities.

· Implementing formal and informal support plans, including documentation on a daily basis.

The schedule will be day hours (approx. 9a-4p) Monday through Friday from June 7th-September 3rd. This is a perfect job for teachers, students, school staff, or anyone else looking to make a difference over the summer!
