Job Description

PURPOSE:
Planning and coordinating maintenance PM’s and parts inventory. Supporting maintenance and engineering to facilitate and manage plant activities relating to machine maintenance and equipment installations. Maintain proper levels of parts inventories and maintenance supplies. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
II. DUTIES:
  • Source and order parts, replenish inventory spare parts, order maintenance materials, tools, and supplies. Efficiently use SAP and Ariba systems to order parts while maintaining consumption history in MP2. Greatest amount of time in this position is sourcing, ordering parts, and tracking critical part’s delivery dates.
  • Collect maintenance requests, analyze, prioritize, and plan activities based on priority and equipment availability.
  • Maintain CMMS MP2 Inventory Management System for parts identification receivables by date, desired min – max inventory levels, etc. Identifies problematic areas in inventory controls and bring to the attention of the Maintenance Manager with recommendations for a solution to enhance inventory management.
  • Manage inventory levels for annual inventory count of all parts in stock.
  • Maintain and improve PM database (SAP PM Module), for correct task, frequency and materials needed.
  • Review daily production downtime with maintenance supervisors and add or adjust PM schedules to reduce scheduling conflicts.
  • Support the Maintenance and Engineering departments in all areas needed to support equipment installations and projects.
  • Improve PM tasks to maximize production efficiency and minimize break-down interventions.
  • Maintain and track material usage of maintenance supplies used for repairs regular and PM maintenance to proper inventory levels.
  • Obtain multiple quotations for cost savings of maintenance items. Document spending and cost savings for Cost Takeout.
  • Improve stores operation and procedures for inventory usage, inventory organization and housekeeping 5S.
  • Schedule outside services for scheduled repairs and PM’s.
  • Analyze maintenance data and prepare reports as needed
Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance planning.
  • Experience and the understanding of mechanical and electrical terminology, devices, and assemblies.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in SAP, Ariba and related purchasing systems.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in CMMS Systems, preferably MP2 or SAP PM Module.
  • Utilization of Microsoft Office, Excel & Word. Ability to draft technical documents and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Self-Starter, ability to work with minimal or no direction.
  • Excellent strategic planning, organizational and time management skills.
IV. CONTACTS:
Reports to the Maintenance Manager, supports the maintenance supervisors and the maintenance department.
RESPONSIBILITY: For Assets and Operations
Is responsible for maintenance of the capital investment in spare parts and supplies for the Converting Plant.
B. For Records and Reports
Is responsible for the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all records initiated in the spare parts organization.
VI Physical Requirements
To successfully perform the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, climb, and be able to work on computers for an extended period of time.
Comply with all required GMP and Safety PPE requirements.
