Job DescriptionPosition Overview:The individual in this role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of all 13 injection facilities by providing expert technical assistance and guidance. This will include offering mold and hot runner support, developing comprehensive tooling documentation, conducting facility visits to identify improvement opportunities, and facilitating regular communication among all plants. Additionally, they will be responsible for organizing and executing support visits, assisting with maintenance activities, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols through plant audits. Essential Responsibilities And Duties
Provide mold and hot runner technical support for all 13 injection facilities.
Creation and support of best-in-class tooling documentation across all facilities.
Travel to all 13 plants to identify opportunities and best practices. Communicate findings across all plants.
Facilitate bi-weekly/monthly injection tooling calls to discuss opportunities, troubleshooting support and best practices.
Schedule and execute support visits along with emergency visits.
Assist plants in basic hot runner rebuilds and planned tooling maintenance.
Training of best practices and supporting the plants in the training of new mold technicians.
Assist in tooling safety training.
Conduct plant tooling audits.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree In Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
2-5 years experience of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment with injection equipment
Ability to read and decipher electrical, mechanical and hydraulic prints.
Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge – preferably in the plastics industry, with experience in injection molding, molds and hot runners.
Strong emphasis on quality of work.
Highly Organized and can effectively multi-task.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills interacting with all levels of a company’s hierarchy
Computer Program use - Microsoft Word, Excel and other programs as needed – able to create new documents and spreadsheets, and edit existing documents and spreadsheets
