Job Description Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a network strategy which optimizes plants, outside warehouses and carrier capacity for logistics and trade compliance excellence. Oversees all aspects of distribution, transportation, import/export compliance and associated IT applications across the business, including third party distribution providers and co-manufacturers. In addition, this leader will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of trade compliance programs, ensuring that operations are in compliance with policies, laws, regulations and directives. What You Get To Do Develop, implement, and continuously enhance a network design and delivery strategy with all activities connected to receiving, storing, shipping, and invoicing product to meet customer requirements. Ensure accurate inventory controls and reconciliations, including the development of robust inventory programs to ensure customer and internal control compliance. Develop and execute to annual budget, including but not limited to expense and capital budging, planning, inventory (asset & product) cost controls, revenue, productivity objectives and operational execution Partner with Procurement to source, negotiate with and contract vendors for storage and transportation. Joint goals with the larger procurement organization are critical to success. Develop tools to measure vendor effectiveness and, through a formal QBR process, drive cost out and service improvement. Determine the value of different transportation and warehousing strategies during the sales cycle to ensure contracts properly contemplate actual cost to serve while driving collaborative efforts to control costs. Identify and bridge barriers to delivering competitive advantage via size and scale. Lead team in all aspects of team development, including employee engagement, performance, and employee life cycle. Ensure warehouse and transportation operations comply with policies, laws, and regulations including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, FDA, FCC, and DOT. Partner to audit and hold accountable all vendors who interact with our products. Develop best in class metrics and analytics for logistics activities. Implement actions to drive continuous improvement Be a Subject Matter Expert to advise leadership regarding the logistics marketplace and impacts to internal and external shareholders and customers. Develop standardized materials management processes that drive improved costs and best practice sharing. Be the main point for domestic & foreign trade agencies. Analyze and resolve any trade compliance matters involving regulatory inquiries, assessments, audits, voluntary disclosures, or mandatory reporting requirements. Provide guidance on compliance policies and directives in collaboration with Business Unit compliance liaisons; lead development of standard operating procedures and work instructions for each business unit. Oversee audits on import and export document and procedures with the business units, as well as internal audits of centralized finance practices, chart of accounts and import valuation audits. Ensure that HTS, ECCN classifications, country of origin, preferential duty programs and sanctioned party screenings are properly managed and compliant with regulatory requirements. Ensure that standard operating procedures relating to export & import controls & compliance are routinely reviewed & updated as necessary to maintain compliance. Oversee the development, distribution and maintenance of legal/compliance policies and directives. Establish a protocol & schedule for audits on import & exports documentation & procedures with the business units, customs brokers & freight forwarders. Establish and maintain programs related to prohibited sales under regulations of the U.S. OFAC, the EU and other jurisdictions as necessary. Educate business partners through effective communication about trade compliance vulnerability and associated risks. Facilitate compliance training and establish and adhere to effective methods of communication on trade compliance matters. MBA preferred 10 years in a manufacturing organization, including experience in some or all of: Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Science/Operational Insights, and Trade Compliance 7 years of demonstrated progressive leadership of high impact teams SAP Corporate trade compliance functional experience Significant 3PL management experience (transportation and warehousing) Experience with Lean Methodology and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred Current US Customs Brokers License preferred Import/Export compliance background is a must Our Expectations We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
