We are currently seeking a dedicated Underground Construction Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and directing field labor, operating directional drilling equipment, and ensuring the successful completion of field operations. Responsibilities
- Direct and organize field labor force to ensure quality, timely, and safe completion of scheduled work
- Operate locator for directional drill operator and handle directional drilling equipment as per blueprints and plans
- Oversee the setup and teardown of job sites
- Complete and submit accurate paperwork to the office
- Assist in potholing, remediation, and setting hand holes
- Access construction points as required and interpret engineering plans
- Maintain a detailed record of work activity
- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times
Qualifications
- Experience in operating construction equipment and machinery
- At least 1 year of experience operating a directional drill
- Knowledge of utility depths, placements, and general construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/underground utility plans
- Ability to submit MS Dig request
- Experience with Ditch Witch Sub-Site Tracker, Vermeer F2, or similar trackers
- Willingness to work nights and weekends, if necessary
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Physical ability to carry 75-80 lbs., including an extension ladder
- Strong communication skill with staff and customers
- Valid driver’s license
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
