Ambika Academics LLC is Hiring a Head Instructor, Part Time (Tutor/Teacher) Near Katy, TX

We are looking for Head Instructor with a fun outgoing personality and a passion for tutoring students. We tutor students in grades K-12 in Reading, Writing, and Math including Geometry and Algebra II, and HS upper-level math courses. Applicants must be energetic, have a great attitude, and enjoy working with children in a fun atmosphere. Most importantly, the applicant must have a commitment to integrity, quality, enthusiasm, exceptional service, and teamwork. We are located at the intersection of Kingsland Blvd and Fry Road, next to Summer Moon Cafe.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise classroom operations and ensure that all instructors adhere to The Tutoring Center's proven system.
  • Analyze student progress and recommend appropriate instructional strategies and techniques.
  • Prepare student progress reports and communicate results to parents.
  • Discuss progress with teachers.
  • Administer Diagnostic Assessments, as needed.
  • Assist in the hiring and development of new instructors.
  • Maintain attendance records
  • Able to be the "Key Holder at the Center"
  • Help to enroll students

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree is required

-Available Monday- Friday, 2:30 PM- 7:30 PM, and some Saturdays as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and possess experience in the classroom or school administration. Ideal for adults who are no longer in the classroom but still want to interact with students and parents and be a trusting and reliable mentor to our youth.

Must have proficient computer skills, effective communication skills, and further, he or she will have the following characteristics: (1) demonstrate genuine care for children and a love of learning; (2) take initiative; (3) perform duties cheerfully; (4) think creatively; (5) exhibit an outgoing personality

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
