Admissions Coordinator

Full Time, Includes every other weekend rotation remotely

Up to $72,800 plus bonus

Hartford area facility seeking Admissions Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be motivated, efficient, organized, and will have long-term care admissions experience but we are willing to train the right person with related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and responds to admission inquires via hospital portals, fax, telephone or walk in and provides pertinent information.
• Works with back-up staff to promptly reply to referrals.
• Maintains and fosters positive relations with customers, internal and external.
• Provides notification to hospitals regarding bed availability.
• Verifies primary and secondary insurance benefits.
• Obtains pre-authorization, if necessary for insurances.
• Manages pre-admitting patients in EMR and related notifications.
• Oversees bed readiness for admissions.
• Completes admission consents and documents for new admissions.
• Prepares monthly reporting for Quality Assurance Committee.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be organized, efficient, customer service oriented and positive.

Experience: At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting; preferably in admissions, business office, therapy or nursing.
