Amberwood Health Rehab is currently recruiting for a qualified nursing unit manager to oversee patients and manage the nursing team for two hallways. Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a licensed practical nurse and is able to handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills, organizational skills, being a team player and having problem-solving attitude. Further training in management and/or Long Term Care would be a bonus. Primarily Monday-Friday 11a-7p.

Responsibilities

• Labs
• Reviewing Hot Rack Charting
• New Physician Orders
• New Admissions
• Ensure all nurses follow policies and procedures
• Train new team members
• Evaluate nurses’ performance
• Inform family members about new physician orders and/or and new medical conditions
• Handle complaints or other issues
• Specific body audits
• complete nursing assessments
• Help with incidents/accidents
• gather information for APRN or MD
