Bus Driver

Amberwood Care Centre is seeking a Bus Driver to join the Citadel team. The primary purpose of the Bus Driver is to transport residents, staff, and volunteers to desired destinations using the facility vehicle.

Bus Driver Essential Job Functions:

• Performs miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail to and from the post office, transporting patients to doctor’s offices and other activities, and driving employees to preferred providers for emergency treatment.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
• Ensures protected health information is kept confidential.
• Reports complaints made by residents to supervisor.
• Follows established safety policies and procedures.
• Observes safety needs of residents as indicated in care plan.
• Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes and meetings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous chauffeur’s experience preferred
• Current operator’s license required; Chauffeur’s license may be required by state law.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent sitting and operating of hand and foot controls.
