BASIC FUNCTION:
At minimum must meet requirements 42 CFR 493.1423 (b)(4)(i) Standard; Testing personnel qualifications.
Able to collect and properly handle various specimens for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Prepare and maintain laboratory documentation for entry into patient medical records and meeting regulatory needs of the lab.
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:
Full-time position, AM or PM shift (as designated by the Lab Manager) Subject to change based on business necessity.

Supervision Received: Medical Director, Laboratory Director, And Laboratory Assistant Supervisor.

EXPOSURE TO HAZARDS:
Specimen collection supplies, Athena EHR, Orchard Harvest LIS, MCN, QDC, HealthStream, MSDS safety data, Phillips Pagewriter TC70, Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0
EQUIPMENT USED: To reduce job hazards, this position is responsible for wearing PPE during job functions. PPE can include: gloves, gown/coat, shoe covers, head/face, eye, and ear protection. Each job
function requires a different level of PPE, individuals receive initial and annual training to identify the appropriate level of PPE required
This position is classified as a Class I by OSHA and is exposed to odors, infectious microorganisms, and bodily fluids.
