JOB DESCRIPTION:

The _Accounts Receivable Clerk_ is a key member of the _Patient Financial Services_ team. The _ Accounts Receivable Clerk_ will work under the direction of the _Supervisor of Accounts Receivable_. The _Accounts Receivable Clerk_ position will be responsible for posting insurance data and payments from Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), researching any discrepancies, balancing amounts and reconciling accounts.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Able to work as a member of a team and also independently.
• Understand and follow safe work practices.
• Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Process high volume of insurance payments using 835 payment transaction files.
• Manually process insurance checks and paper remittance advices.
