Esplanade Senior Living at Palisades is looking for an energetic Recreation Activities' Assistant to assist in presenting and coordinating recreational programs for our Senior Living. 

Assist in attending trips to various suitable destinations.

• Aquariums, theater, music, racetracks, sports events, religious and cultural programs
• Help print and distribute copies of the daily and monthly calendar, newsletters, and memos to Residents.
• Assists in developing new and stimulating activities and encourage and coordinate Resident involvement.
• Perform planned activities in the absence of the Recreation Director
• Maintain knowledge of Residents’ backgrounds, hobbies, special interests, and languages spoken, etc., and use this knowledge to encourage Resident involvement.

Hourly Rate: $16 per hour

Qualifications:

Outgoing, warm, and caring personality

Ability to create a program to get Residents involved and excited.

Dependable and able to supervise activities, special events and excursions for the Residents.

Creative talents in one or more areas such as art, music, readings, dance, etc

Demonstrates good listening and communication skills.

Proven ability to lead classes/instructional learning sessions and speak in front of a group setting with ease and clarity.

High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule: Weekends
