AMBE Engineering is Hiring a Maintenance Technician 2nd (3pm-1am) Near Greenfield, IN
- Providetechnical (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic) expertise to productionteams to assist in creating and implementing the best solutions tomanufacturing challenges.
- Usedrawings/blueprints, schematic diagrams, service manuals, code manuals, andmanufacturer’s specifications to mechanically install, modify, enhance andrepair machines and mechanical equipment.
- Usebasic PC/PLC knowledge and electrical schematics to electrically install,modify, enhance and repair machines and mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic,machine manuals, and basic interpretation of electrical schematics.
- Readand interpret electrical schematics and machine manuals to perform safe andeffective repairs while using basic electrical concepts, practices, and theory.
- Start/restartmachines and mechanical equipment after installations, modifications,enhancements, and repairs to ensure optimal operation.Troubleshooting (20%):
- Troubleshoothighly automated assembly equipment throughout production.
- Continuallyshare and gain knowledge from co-workers to enhance guidance, training, andutilization of best practices and use the knowledge gained to improve equipmentuptime.
- Addressall machine-related issues, as well as all other issues, with co-workers andmanagement personnel with accuracy, in a timely manner, giving updates andschedules as necessary.Quality (15%):
- Ensurethat equipment preventative maintenance and repairs are done to qualitystandards.
- Assistin updating electrical, mechanical, hydraulic andpneumatic drawings, blueprints, and schematics according to code requirements,service manuals and manufacturers’ specifications.
Requirements
- High schooldiploma or GED
- Completion of an Associate’s Degree in IndustrialMaintenance Technology (or similar program)
- Ability to train, teach, and assess other Maintenance Techniciantrainees in the Career Path program, working well and leading and mentoring ina team environment
- Ability to assist with managing projects and resourceseffectively, including PLC programming and troubleshooting, understandingadvanced electrical prints and schematics to facilitate complex repairs orinstallation of equipment
- Ability to read, follow and understand electrical,mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, coderequirements, service manuals and manufacturers’ specifications
- Proven mechanical inclination and general math andmanufacturing knowledge through standardized tests
