Ambassador Personnel is hiring qualified, experienced loaders in Jacksonville, Florida!
As a Loader, you will be loading ocean containers, which require considerable consolidating and up-stacking. Loaders are responsible for loading pre-assembled merchandise / pallets and master containers for shipment or transporting in large shipping containers for international export.
You will load and unload shipments of product, prepare products for shipment under general supervision (includes weighing, handling, transporting, marking, addressing, and packing loads), and load shipping containers according to mapping and special instructions in a manner to avoid damages and maintain load stability, wrap pallets by machine or hand to ensure stability, unload and clean out shipping containers as necessary, operate stock trucks and mechanical jacks consistently and safely, hand load product onto shipping containers as required, check and ensure products has been loaded correctly for export by referring to export documents.
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Minimum of 2 plus years of experience in this type of work, with consistent 6-month assignments on resume.
- Must have Standup Pacer / Counterbalance forklift experience. Preferably Crown equipment.
- Comfortable working on a cold dock ranging from 35 degrees to 85 degrees and going into a freezer occasionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, and basic arithmetic skills.
- Must possess good physical stamina and be able to constantly lift boxes weighing up to 100 lbs.
