DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about designing delightful experiences for Amazonians? The Amazon WorkDocs team is looking for an experienced, hands-on UX Designer who is eager to innovate on behalf of our customers. Our mission is to provide a secure and loveable customer experience for document storage, viewing, editing, and collaborating across teams and individuals. We are a customer-obsessed innovative organization looking to define the best-in-class customer experience for improving Amazonian productivity and collaboration when working with documents.
Amazon WorkDocs is looking for a UX designer who will perform a mix of UX research and UX design to provide a highly productive, intuitive, accessible, easy to use and friction-free workplace productivity application experience for Amazon employees. You’ll partner with internal customers, product managers, technical program managers, and engineers to translate business goals into efficient and thoughtful human-centered UX. You’ll create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet business needs. In this role, your excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset and ability to thrive through ambiguity and competing priorities will be critical as you work through all phases of the design process, from mapping the end-to-end user journey at Amazon, to research and usability analysis and rapid prototyping. You will continually broaden your technical understanding as new technologies become available and as you learn about integrations between the workplace productivity suite and other applications and services within Amazon’s workplace productivity services ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has experience in digital enterprise products or software as a service, with strong blue sky/ideation skills, robust holistic systems thinking, deep attention to detail, and passion for making difficult tasks into simple and delightful experiences for customers. We are looking for a passionate, data-driven individual who sets high standards, and delivers the right results with limited guidance. The candidate exhibits a high degree of ownership and is able to influence across levels in a matrix structure.
Key job responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with senior leadership, product managers, technical program managers and developers through implementation to realize design vision.
• Deliver appropriate visual assets and/or guidance (information structures and hierarchies; navigation models; animations, wireframes, flows, and other visual prototypes) that is optimized for different form factors – web client, desktop client and mobile apps
• Coordinate user testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts.
• Understand technical constraints, user goals and business requirements that shape current and future workplace productivity-related services.
