As UX Designer on this team, you will be help lead and execute in the consolidation of UI / UX design for a variety of projects spanning multiple screen sizes and platforms. You will be working from existing requirements to design product design flows, interactions, and content strategies in collaboration with business leaders, engineers, product managers, and other UX and visual designers. The team will look to you to help identify opportunities when experiences are inconsistent and hold the bar when simplifiers are suggested. To be successful you must be a critical, inventive thinker with clear design chops, an excitement for understanding and using data, and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively. Being a big music fan is a plus.

Responsibilities

* Be the UX design lead for projects across a range of platforms that touch numerous aspects of the Amazon Music experience.

* Work from high-level requirements and ask the right questions to gather all relevant information to guide design direction.

* Quickly iterate on multiple design explorations to arrive at a simple, but robust solutions, accounting for complex requirements.

* Validate designs through testing.

* Collaborate on and present work to a range of stakeholders – executives, engineers, product managers, business leaders, researchers, other UX and visual designers.

Basic qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in design (UX, product), HCI, behavioral economics, cognitive psychology, or related field or equivalent professional experience.

* 5 years of experience in UX design and research for products on web, mobile, voice or emerging platforms.

* Strong online portfolio and results in digital (web and app, if not also emerging platform and voice) work.

* Experience working in direct collaboration with product managers, front and back-end engineers, and business or editorial stakeholders.

* Experience designing with Pattern Libraries and using a variety of research and testing methodologies.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners and stakeholders

* Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment

* Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs and customer expectations

* Proficiency in UI / UX design and prototyping tools

Pay Range: $75 - $85 per hour
