Amazon is looking for an experienced technical writer for our Appstore developer documentation team. We’re looking for someone excited to dive into complex product and engineering designs and making them easy to understand and use. You will work closely with engineering and field teams to help guide developers from all over the world to create apps and games for TVs and other smart devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, author, and publish developer-facing API/SDK documentation
• Produce conceptual, how-to, and reference documentation for app development tools
• Assist with peer edits for accuracy, completeness, style, and form.

Preferred qualifications

• 3 years as a technical writer in a relevant field and a solid understanding of the software development process
• Experience designing and authoring API and SDK documentation for a developer audience
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Javascript or C
• Experience working with a CMS tool like Git
• Experience working in HTML or Markdown
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail.
