The Role:
The Technical Program Manager, part of the Reverse Logistics Engineering organization, is responsible for support in the development, deployment and sustainment of HW screening operations and repair/refurbishment processes to support Amazon Device products. This includes processes for dis-assembly, assembly, spare parts reclamation, and development of tooling solutions to facilitate service and repair operations. This role will support the set-up and training for all screening and authorized repair and service locations.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with 3P partners and internally to develop, document, and validate repair processes and tooling (as needed) to support repair activities for a variety of products and consumers.
- Develop and document repair instructions for variety of products and consumers.
- Document and communicate tangible feedback, at multiple levels in the company, based on results to improve product features.
- Enhance field support productivity and effectiveness through improved hardware serviceability and repairability
- Continue to develop and document best practices for service and repair operations
- Define and document spare part requirements and expected usage for device repair and refurbishment
- Develop and document repair processes for continued improvements on efficiency and reduced complexity in the operations
- Provide sustaining technical support for screening and repair operations
- Travel internationally as required (~15% travel)
A day in the life
A typical day in a life of TPM involves, analyzing projects and risks associated with their planning and execution, engaging critical stakeholders of the business and problem solve any blockers identified. Participate in team stand ups to communicate status of the programs and raise necessary risks to leadership. Engage with team members and identify improvement opportunities in existing processes. TPMs ensure all program goals are achieved through continuous monitoring of milestones.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $76,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
