Amazon is Hiring a Sr. PMT, Marketing Incrementality Measurement Near Seattle, WA

DESCRIPTION

Do you have a passion for owning large, cross-organizational products that impact real-world decisions? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a team that has a global and cross-Amazon scope? If yes, we are looking for somebody with your enthusiasm and skills to join our team. We are a central analytics team that owns Amazon’s measurement of marketing incrementality for variable spend, including data collection, analytics, and machine learning approaches. We aspire to be the place where Amazon teams come for answers about the impact and efficacy of their marketing strategies and campaigns, and the trusted source for data and insights that systems and business leaders leverage to make better decisions. By shaping these decisions, we shape how customers interact with Amazon and value that experience.
As a Product Manager – Technical on our team, you will own the product roadmap for complex, high quality, and scalable products, deployed across Amazon and around the world. You will collaborate with stakeholders, software engineers, economists, and machine learning scientists to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities that promise a high customer and business impact, and will translate these opportunities into goals, requirements, and working backwards plans that deliver on a shared vision. This work involves being a subject-matter expert on our products as well as the larger product and business space. It also requires the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with both technical and business stakeholders; assess risks and dependencies; provide escalation management; make tradeoffs; and understand and navigate technical constraints.
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic about using data to make decisions, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, and be able to solve complex problems involving concepts such as causal inference. Such candidates will be passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions that navigate multiple points of view to address stakeholder needs. They will become a key part of a high-performing team’s continual growth and evolution.
Key job responsibilities
As a successful Sr. PMT, you must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within a collaborative environment. You will work closely with our engineering, supplier engagement, program governance and production teams to set up and enhance processes and your product. In addition, you will engage with other business systems project management teams to identify and implement integration processes that will link your product across existing business tools while ensuring software architectural efficiency.
A day in the life
Successful candidates will:
- Thrive in working with key stakeholders in executive teams and marketing teams to define strategy and requirements, and to align on a path forward when there are complex tradeoffs
- Own the roadmap—including prioritization, feasibility, and delivery—of key products, leveraging feedback from stakeholders, leadership, and engineering and science resources
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make complex technical, scientific, and data-driven information easy to understand without sacrificing accuracy.
- Lead rollout strategy and product implementation across multiple teams around the world
- Help develop the team’s long-term vision and contribute to how this is achieved through annual planning cycles
- Support the team in setting goals, developing metrics, measuring their impact, and identifying improvement opportunities
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership on status, risks, and change control, recommending and implementing effective ways to unblock progress
- Make technical concepts intuitive for non-technical audiences, especially in regards to statistics, causal inference, and machine learning
