We are seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a highly customer centric, and early stage team for Amazon Stores Finance Technology Team. The Team: WW Amazon Stores Finance is poised for a revolution. Historically, automation and technical infusion has taken a back-seat to important financial functions such as controllership, financial oversight, risk mitigation, and strong investment analysis. Finance is set to be the Chief Story Tellers, and along the way inject machine learning, BI, advanced analytics and technical tools – built to suit finance and business needs.
We are constantly innovating customer experience for internal Amazon customers. We focus on highly specialized space of Finance, Financial Planning and Analytics space. We understand our customers well and expect incumbent to have an experience on solving customer problems in this space.

The WWASFT team is looking for talented and passionate software engineering manager with strong technical and business systems backgrounds to build new financial planning & analytical services and products. This position is not for implementing or supporting existing software packages but rather for development of new systems and internal customer facing features that are critical to the success of our customer’s businesses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 4 years of experience in finance domain - Oracle Financials, SAP r/3, TM1 Planning
* 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience
* 3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
* 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
* Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
* Experience partnering with product or program management teams

A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You will be helping to hire and build your team and systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $148,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
