Amazon is Hiring a Senior UX Designer , WW Returns & ReCommerce Near Bellevue, WA

DESCRIPTION

In the Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce group at Amazon, we are dedicated to ‘making zero happen’ – zero cost of returns, zero waste, and zero defects – to benefit our customers, company, and environment.
We are an agile and inclusive organization that constantly innovates to create long-term value by investing in our people and our planet, not simply focusing on the bottom line. Amazon is Earth’s most customer-centric company and in WW R&R, the Earth is our customer too. Come join us and innovate with the Amazon Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce team!
The Return Customer Experience (RCX) team is a part of the WW Returns & ReCommerce Organization. Our team works on continuously improving the retruns experience for Amazon's customers. Our impact on the shopping experience starts right from setting up Customer Obsessed and Competitive Returns policies. We work closely with many partner teams in setting the appropriate returns policy for every item that is sold on Amazon World-Wide. Once created, we ensure this policy is communicated to customers clearly on relevant places through out their purchase journey. By doing so, we help customers make an informed purchase and assure them of the support they can expect to receive post-purchase. Once an item is purchased and if a customer does have an issue with the item, we provide product support through Product Lifecycle Support (PLS). If we are not able to resolve the issue, then we provide a self-service through the Online Returns Center (ORC) to remediate the issue. Using the ORC, we offer Customers with a wide selection of resolutions to help resolve the issue being faced with their purchase. Through out the Customer return journey, we use emails and progress trackers to keep customers informed of the status of their resolution. Through these tools and the returns policies, we aim to delight our customers and increase their confidence in making a purchase decision.
We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to conceive of, plan, lead, and execute new delightful user experiences for RCX. This role will work at the intersection of customer data, computer vision and machine learning models, leveraging deep personalization to design elegant solutions to customer needs in the returns space.
As the ideal candidate you will look around corners to create a cohesive vision and unified experience across RCX. You’ll set and communicate a high bar for design quality and influence across the organization about best practices and processes needed to drive design-led, customer-obsessed solutions. You will be responsible for developing and socializing experiences that drive engagement and excitement throughout the organization - working closely with partners in research, design and product management across Amazon. Because the scope of this position will extend across a number of programs, the ability to balance high-level, holistic reasoning with detail-oriented feature design is imperative.
You would be perfect for this role if:
- You’re a systems oriented design thinker who envisions and crafts holistic solutions for your users that span the entire customer journey.
- You see patterns and connect dots as part of your daily process.
- You are passionate about working strategically with internal and external executives and other senior leaders to create and deliver visionary and customer-focused solutions.
- You design experiences that visually provoke and captivate.
- You are an empathic teammate who flourishes when collaborating closely with other disciplines and partners.
- You are a self-starter who thrives on ambiguity and is comfortable wearing many hats.
What you'll do:
- Analyze customer behaviors, identify opportunities to solve problems, and create cohesive, best-in-class experiences to our most challenging and high impact areas.
- Contribute to the architecture of near and long term user experience visions for features and product lines across applicable devices and locales.
- Create frameworks, conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, detailed visual mockups, and prototypes to communicate high-level design strategies.
- Responsibly and effectively advocate for the customer in a corporate environment; fostering a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, technology and business.
- Deliver high quality creative products while insisting on high standards and attention to detail.
- Present to business, design, and executive-level leadership and support your design rationale using quantitative data and site metrics, customer feedback, and usability findings.
- Help nurture a thriving design culture.
