DESCRIPTION

Our Finance Operations Global Consumer Retail AP Team is hiring a Sr. Program Manager III – that supports Retail AP policy and controls. This position is the front line of our program driving global retail AP standardization and improvements on policy and controls. This role focuses on driving processes and policies to deliver improvements, utilizing process enhancements and technology that positively impact the overall customer experience. This role is the critical catalyst to dive deep and analyze controls, compliance and metrics by partnering with cross-functional, global stakeholders to interpret Retail AP end to end invoice process compliance and controls. The Sr. Program Manager influences strategic prioritization, removes risks and mitigates deficiencies identified through global control reviews, control inspections programs and audits. The role will focus on interdependencies of procure to pay processes; managing projects and collaborating with system and business owners globally to drive end-to-end improvements and visibility to compliance and policy programs. Having the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment is critical to this role. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner, and will have the ability to efficiently manage various high-priority and visible projects. The successful candidate will utilize various tools to support analytics, improvement recommendations, and creation of management dashboards relating to compliance and policy performance.
Areas of responsibility:
- Define and measure processes and policy reviews to ensure optimum customer experience.
- Interpret policy and controls supporting Accounts Payable processes, technology and functions.
- Serve as a key business partner working directly with business leaders and cross-functional teams, presenting results of ad hoc business and statistical analysis and recommendations to senior management for optimal decision making.
- Prioritize and serve as the business owner for key Retail AP Systems and Process initiatives, including but not limited to Retail AP policy management, governance, reporting, documentation, and analytics reporting.
- Research, measure, analyze and develop reporting related to process and system requirements using Word, Excel, SQL, Essbase and other tools to achieve business goals.
- Demonstrate advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
- Review and measure systems performance on a weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly basis with business team and senior management using financial and operational reporting.
- Researches and analyzes fluctuations between system and project assessments and reports on trends, material changes and recommends modifications or new controls.
- Locate and identify sources of data, determine the validity of the data, and analyze the variance in the data between various systems and reports. Exceptional discipline of meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- The successful candidate will be independent and flexible with solid communication skills and strong customer focus. Our diverse environment is fast paced and therefore requires a detail-oriented individual comfortable interacting and working with multiple large teams globally - both business and technical. Experience prioritizing competing demands, and scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills. Must be methodical, thorough, structured, and enthusiastic, have strong organizational skills and be able to adapt quickly. The candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions that balance employee experience, controllership, and frugality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
