DESCRIPTION

Selling Partner Insights and Analytics team mission is to build listening mechanisms to gather frictionless SP feedback, generate insights at scale, and enable teams to prioritize and measure improvement opportunities. Selling Partner Insights and Analytics focuses on surfacing SP sentiment data/insights and connecting our stakeholders to actual SP experiences.
The Selling Partner Insights and Analytics team performs analyses, creates visualizations and develops automated reporting solutions that inform decisions and inspire change. The Selling Partner Insights and Analytics transforms requirements into insights and deliver reporting that enable our business partners to improve the seller partner experience. This team supports all programs where the data/analysis is needed for program teams, Operations and stakeholders from the broader Selling Partner Support team.
Key job responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst, Selling Partner Insights and Analytics will be focusing on analyzing emerging and new quality, experience and operational metrics for Selling Partners. This includes metrics measuring new contact channels like Chat and Escalate my Case, but also Global Operation metrics (service level, first touch resolution, average handling time and so on).
The successful candidate will have strong business acumen and possess excellent statistical and analytical abilities. They will focus on creating actionable insights and research to provide recommendations to the leadership team and build scalable solutions to meet business needs. They will have passion for data and analytics, be an independent innovator comfortable with ambiguity. They'll have strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
The ideal candidate for this role will should be:
• Self-starter who understands the current and future business needs by working closely with stakeholders to recognize their needs and requirements.
• Individual who will support the long-term strategy to implement self-service solutions and focus on insights research while understanding and have experience working with Customer service/Operation teams.
• Hands-on individual who has deep domain/process expertise across operational metrics, someone who can understand individual metrics and how they are all connected.
• Proactively identify problems with significant business impact; facilitate analysis to identify problems and opportunities to deliver insights and recommendations to help shape strategy across team and measurement initiatives.
• Working with the data engineering team to build the business requirements to evolve the insights and analysis about the SP experience.
• Set and articulate expectations around leadership behavior for peers; model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles.
About the team
The SPIA team performs analyses, creates visualizations and develops automated reporting solutions that inform decisions and inspire change. The team transforms requirements into insights and deliver reporting that enable our business partners to improve the seller partner experience. This team supports all programs where the data/analysis is needed for the Seller Experience Programs team and analysis requests from stakeholders engaging in research from the broader SP Support team. Ownership, maintenance and expansion of the Seller Experience dashboards reside within the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5 years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience with Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
- Python and advanced Statistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
