Amazon is Hiring a Senior Business Analyst, Inventory Trust (Bad Actor Disincentives) Near Seattle, WA

DESCRIPTION

The Bad Actor Disincentives team is responsible for removing the financial incentive for bad actors while accurately and fairly paying millions of third-party sellers. We need a passionate, innovative, organized, and results-oriented Sr Business Analyst to support Inventory Trust initiative that owns the impact bad actors have on our fulfillment network and prevents them from using our FBA logistics capabilities to scale their abuse and harm our Customers. We work backwards from bad actor success and strive to ensure we have confidence that we know who we are doing business with and that they have a legitimate supply chains and identity so that we can detect and stop bad actor shipments reaching to our customers.
The business analyst is responsible for driving deep insights to economically disrupt bad actor activities. The person should have a detailed understanding of a business requirement or the ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business metrics, and draft solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems. You will work closely with product managers, program managers, Operations managers and research scientists to analyze massive data sets, identify areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, and most importantly work with different stakeholders to drive improvements over time and influence leaders. You will also work closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis, and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways.
Key job responsibilities
5 years of Advanced SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
4 years of business or financial data analysis experience
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders at leadership level
Experience in customer segmentation, customer behavior analysis, conjoint/trade-off modeling
4 years of data analysis using SQL, big Dataware house such as redshift or related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3 years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
