DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Project Kuiper team is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager with experience in aerospace system verification and validation, project management, and program management. The role will interface with cross-functional engineering and program/product management teams to conduct end-to-end system verification. Join us and make a difference to people around the world.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to plan and execute system verification and validation.
- Work with engineering leaders and product/program management to ensure that system verification and validation execution meets schedule and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, software, teams on ensuring cross-functional deliverables are identified and tracked.
You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
