Amazon is Hiring a Principal Program Manager, Business Operations, Global Communications and Community Impact Near Seattle, WA

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a principal Business Operations manager to join Amazon’s Global Communications and Community Impact (GCCI) Operations & Technology team. Ops & Tech is an embedded service team designed to deliver secure, centralized technology; scalable programs and processes; and development resources and services that boost GCCI’s culture, productivity, and efficiency.
As the principal Business Operations manager, working from HQ1, you’ll be a leader who influences initiatives and teammates at all levels of the organization in order to problem solve and brainstorm program ideas. You’ll prioritize x-organization projects, communicate clearly and compellingly to a variety of stakeholders, and understand how to deliver excellent results within Ops & Tech, as well as drive change across other GCCI organizations.
Key job responsibilities
You need good judgement, exceptional writing and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to operate in ambiguity, and an appetite to learn and be self-starting. You will solve operational challenges to enable GCCI to move more efficiently. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders within their teams to deliver solutions that scale and benefit the entire organization.
The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and is able to balance a broad portfolio of program, operational, and strategic responsibilities. The candidate works with other program and product managers across GCCI to share learnings and influence org-wide strategy.
A day in the life
• GCCI-wide goals-tracking and writing mechanisms
• Communications reporting for S-team and Amazon’s Board of Directors
• Ownership of tools and processes used to share and compile org-wide information
• Ongoing audits of operational mechanisms across VP teams that could be adjusted/adopted to drive org-wide improvements
• Establish and manage cross-team processes and planning milestones
• Create and execute ongoing, ad hoc initiatives (impacting all levels of GCCI) that improve operational efficiency and employee productivity
About the team
Global Communications and Community Impact (GCCI) focuses on strengthening Amazon’s reputation and trust with customers by educating the world about Amazon’s products and services, and how we support employees, small businesses, partners, content creators, developers, the economy, the environment, and communities where we operate. The team is organized across vertical business line support and cross-company horizontal functions.
The GCCI Ops & Tech team’s mission is to deliver secure, centralized technology; scalable programs and processes; and development resources and services that boost the culture, productivity, and efficiency of the GCCI organization. This, in turn, helps teams be more effective in supporting Amazon’s business goals.
