Amazon is Hiring a Global Customer Operations Lead, Project Kuiper Near Denver, CO

DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity across the Earth.
We are looking for a talented Global Customers Operations Lead who is ready to take charge of operational planning and ultimately execute on our business plans. As one of our valued team members, you will be obsessed with matching our standards for operational excellence with a relentless focus on delighting our customers.
The Kuiper Country Development and Operations team is focused on managing customer support and field operations the Kuiper service across the globe.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive performance and strategy development for global operations through data driven strategy, detailed operational planning and development of strategic partner relationships.
- Develop our local operations teams and work with existing local Amazon operations
- Build and maintain external relationships with customers, employee representatives, government, technology and business partners
- Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization, and manage a team that may be distributed across multiple countries
- Establish operational KPIs across the business and methods to analyze our operational performance
- Ultimately, manage end to end service delivery for all in country operations, including but not limited to field operations, distribution and customer support.
- Once operational, meet our performance measurement criteria and drive process improvement across the business operations work stream, and focus on optimizing costs and deliver a fantastic customer experience
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
As the Operations Lead on the Project Kuiper team, you will help us plan and operationalize our global fixed operations to delight our customers across the globe. You will lead our efforts to develop local partnerships and service provider relationships, and work across Amazon to develop a compelling model of operations.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7 years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
- 5 years managing global operational teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $154,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
