Amazon is Hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer III, FIO Analytics Near Bellevue, WA
DESCRIPTION
FBA organization is looking for a customer focused, analytically and technically skilled business intelligence engineer to support the Inventory Optimization organization's analytic needs.
This position will be part of the business analytics team responsible for building out analysis, visualization tools and processes for the FBA FIO businesses. The successful candidate will be able to retrieve, integrate, visualize and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to improve the business decision process. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen and comfort with technical teams and systems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and enjoying working with large scale of data.
Key job responsibilities
· Analyze and visualize transaction data to determine seller behaviors, and output solid analysis with recommendations
· Develop KPIs that helps support product category growth and expansion plans
- Serve as liaison between the Business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations
· Develop queries, statistical analysis, and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of professional or military experience
- 5 years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
