The MAS2 US ADC Kodiak team is hiring for an AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineer II. The engineer will be joining an established team supporting the AWS Snow Family service.

This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems. AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them.
The Kodiak team supports the AWS Snow Family Service! AWS Snow Family enables customers to more quickly and easily adopt the AWS cloud, gaining the advantages that AWS has to offer. The devices we produce are ruggedized and secure, designed to survive rough handling and harsh operating environments where data needs to be collected, processed, and securely managed as it is moved to the Cloud. This work requires us to develop processes, procedures, and facilities that allow customers to easily use our products and enable us to meet customer expectations on security and speed.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Arlington, VA, USA
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
- 3 years of understanding support processes (SLA), handling tickets, monitoring, processes and metrics.
- 3 years of experience operating in a 24/7 production environment.
- 3 years experience with cloud computing technologies
- 3 years of relevant systems engineering, or systems administration experience using Linux, networking, and storage systems
- 3 years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization
- Strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems, and track record of delivering products/services in a highly technical multi-team environment
- High attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Have been successful working across organizational boundaries, bringing together people with diverse perspectives and experience to find solutions
