• 3 years working experience in a relevant field such as prototype fabrication, prototype machining or as a Model Maker
• Knowledge of sound machining principals including setup, cutter selection and order of operations

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
We're looking for a Development Model Maker with expert experience in mechanical prototyping. This position will work side by side with Engineering teams to develop creative solutions to support Kuiper Manufacturing and Engineering.
Key job responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and modify prototype tooling & test equipment
• Work directly with engineering teams on design feedback DFM, project execution and commissioning
• Maintain GSE Tooling work area
• Ability to be flexible, support changing priorities and ambitious deadlines
• Support other development, production and facilities teams as required
• Must have valid driver’s license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $42/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,040/year in our lowest geographic market up to $93,600/year in our highest geographic market.
