Applied AI team is looking for a passionate, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our data operations team as a Process Owner. You will primarily be responsible for establishing different Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to help develop scalable, long-term solutions which will have a significant impact on business teams. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to solve challenging business problems. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) of the processes and audit the work on the team to drive increased data quality.
Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, partners, and management. The candidate should be clear and use data to drive their communication with stakeholders. The candidate should be able to resolve issues with limited guidance.
Key job responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to fully understand business problems, requirements and feedback to extend attribution to new workflows
  • Curate a product taxonomy, define attribute guidelines and values, develop SOPs, and train an ops team
  • Create, label and curate the data for AI/ML products
  • Verify information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; combines data from multiple systems when information is incomplete; purges files to eliminate duplication of data
  • Translating established guidelines into daily work practices
  • Handling unique data analysis requests from a range of data customers
  • Contributing to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve output
  • Support new initiatives and new program to drive operational excellence in terms of CX, cost, speed, sustainability, logistics efficiency and service quality.
  • Produce, and maintain quality metrics reports that support analysis and performance management.
In addition, the Process Owner will need to quickly understand changes to conventions deployed in response to customers’ requests and change workflows accordingly. The Associate should be able to contribute to improvements in the software tools by identifying bugs and suggesting enhancements. The Process Owner must have a passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy as well as show proactive behavior in addressing issues and problems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $40,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $86,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
