The Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) team is looking for a Contract Manufacturing and Supply Chain Security Manager for its Prototype Security Compliance team who can develop, implement, and lead security programs to support Amazon’s Kuiper program. This position will lead the on-boarding, setup, and oversight of security programs at Contract Manufacturers and third party suppliers supporting the Kuiper organization. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to un-served and under-served communities around the world.
This unique role within Prototype Security combines manufacturing security, strategic intelligence, technology integration and on the ground risk assessments. The position will have a global reach, responsible for the security programs at all contract manufacturing and third-party contracted locations worldwide. In this position, the Contract Manufacturing Contract will have regular engagement with Kuiper Security stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks in the manufacturing and supply chain space. To be successful in this position, the Contract Manufacturing Manager must have a deep understanding of the contract manufacturing process, brand & intellectual property protection, product lifecycle stages, supply chain security and an ability to identify, track and influence performance indicators. This position requires a strong level of ownership and the ability to partner with multiple internal and external stakeholders, operate independently and with little supervision.This position will report to the Amazon Prototype Security Compliance Sr. Manager.
Key job responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary compliance point of contact for all contract manufacturing and third-party activities worldwide
  • Accountable for manufacturing security programs during New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass-Production (MP)
  • Ensure compliance with Amazon’s Contract Manufacturing Security guidelines through on-site and remote audits
  • Perform risk assessments and communicate results to an executive audience ·Develop and implement an audit program for contract manufacturers and third party suppliers involved in product development, distribution and disposal.
  • Track and document all instances of non-compliance with contract manufacturing and Third Party (3P) security requirements
  • Develop contract language for Contract Manufacturing and third party security agreements· Closely partner with the Kuiper Security to identify priorities and create risk-based strategies to reduce exposure and prevent leaks/losses of confidential IP
  • Develop and implement risk-based security controls for IP & Brand Protection.
  • Actively evaluate, analyze, and use metrics collected to reduce risk and drive performance improvements.
  • Develop, draft and publish policies and standards related to the global prototype security program
  • Work cross functionally with peers in Legal, Hardware, Supply Chain Ops, Trade & Compliance, EHS, and Security to establish scalable Prototype Security standards

  • Lead, plan and execute internal & external audits· Provide knowledge of geographical risks and their impact in protection programs

  • Perform analytic and critical thinking, focused on delivering results
  • Interface with large groups and audiences and effectively present material
  • Write documentation in a narrative style to explain complex topics

Prototype security is an organization within Amazon Security dedicated to the protection of Intellectual Property and critical assets. Its main goal is to provide a holistic and pragmatic security program from product concept to manufacturing, including all stages in the supply chain, from distribution to disposition.

  • BA/BS in C. Justice, International Business, Security Management, or related security industry degree· Demonstrated maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
  • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business
  • Previous experience of manufacturing audits against international management systems, security, or Intellectual Property protection standards
  • Understanding of statistics and how data is used to inform policies and procedures
  • Experience supporting or running a regional program· Experience in multinational companies and/or international working experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
