The Amazon Global Benefits team is seeking a leader to help us build the future of behavioral health. The ideal candidate must be able to think big, and think differently about longstanding challenges to accessing professional mental health services, including treatment of SUDs, and should also be able to cultivate solutions with global impact. This role will contribute to the work of the global Behavioral Health team, and will be responsible for diving deep to propose bold initiatives with the potential to overcome seemingly intractable challenges. You will work in a dynamic, ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a team focused on strategy, design, and delivery for global behavioral health programs and initiatives, reporting to the Senior Manager for Behavioral Health.
Key job responsibilities
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to understand the context and causes of barriers to accessing mental health services, including the full continuum of care for SUD treatment.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure that our team is solving problems that address the mental health and SUD treatment needs of Amazonians and their families.
  • Integrate state-of-the-art clinical science and best practices within the evaluation and proposal of mental health and SUD solutions to address the needs of Amazon’s diverse workforce.
  • Prepare proposals and summary documents for senior leaders.
  • Deliver on behavioral health roadmap activities and key deliverables, and meet deadlines.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Seattle, WA, USA
  • Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for treating mental health conditions and SUDs and reducing barriers to accessing all appropriate levels of care.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in expanding access to mental health services and SUD treatment, including high impact academic or other professional publications.
  • Deep knowledge of employee healthcare benefits plan design, along with the associated complexities of plan administration, associated payroll processes, regulatory requirements and benefits program taxability.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering Medication Assisted Therapy for SUD, Addiction Medicine, and/or integrated care for SUDs.
  • Experience influencing executives, in partnership with cross functional business leaders, to gain approvals on proposals and recommendations.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with people across a large, complex organization to launch innovative, successful solutions.
  • Master’s degree or higher in clinical, public health, healthcare, business, HR or related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
