Job Title Storage Engineer/Admin/Consultant
Location Remote
8-10 years of experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Recommend Storage infrastructure solutions based on business requirements.
Lead storage architectural designs for migration activities, The Storage engineer will be responsible for leading a migration project towards ensuring the storage environment supports the needs of the business.
Migration engineer, acting as the point of contact and ensuring continuity of operations, and providing guidance on their development.
Regularly meet with stakeholders to discuss initiatives and ensure storage environment stays ahead of any expected growth/changes.
Plan migration activity, Scope out migration plan, execute & implement plan for ILTS process.
Conduct performance, capacity, and lifecycle planning across the suite of storage and backup products, adjusting overall strategy as required.
Author regulatory documents, Able to use vendor storage management tools to monitor, provision and report on the Storage infrastructure health and capacity, Perform Storage Management activities - zoning, provisioning, replication, troubleshooting etc.
Advance knowledge of working with storage vendor & application vendors.
Administer Enterprise backup software/hardware.
Coordinate and manage vendor supported activities (Installs, maintenance, migrations etc.) Use change management process. Attend meetings as a team representative.

Must have migration experience using above tools.
Possess in-depth knowledge of Architecture and hands-on experience of migration, from NetApp to emc technologies.
Creating & Administration of SMB & NFS shares, Snapshot, Quota Management
Working knowledge of Block, File & Object Storage.
Good knowledge on multipathing administration of UNIX, Linux (RHEL), Windows, HP OS.
Good working knowledge on storage virtualization.
Expert skills in Storage Performance fine tuning, Availability, Reporting and Capacity Management.
Able to handle and troubleshoot hardware issues on Storage Environment and coordinate with multiple teams as a single point of contact.
Possess good working knowledge of storage analysis, testing, POC, system software, ability to provide root cause analysis to the customer
Good knowledge on Best practices for storage administration, projects and migration strategies.
Analysis, optimization, design, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting
Troubleshooting share permission issues from Storage Side and coordinate with platform teams.
