Amaya Springs Healthcare Center is actively recruiting a Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). We are a 50 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Spring Valley. This is a great opportunity to help us strengthen the culture and apply your leadership ability.

As a DOR, you will:

• Play a crucial role of overseeing the leadership and guidance of our Physical Therapy team in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as all current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations
• Oversee deployment of resources necessary for the delivery of high-quality patient care
• Work closely with Management Team and Staffing Coordinator
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach Primary duties include:
• Maintain a clinical caseload
• Lead caseload building efforts by developing professional relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and internal staff
• Supervises Rehabilitation team including PT’s, Technicians, Students, and Volunteers
• Conducts performance reviews and appraisals of all rehab staff
• Oversees and assists with personnel compliance standards including required credentials, corrective actions, and improvement plans when needed
• Be actively involved in the Rehabilitation team recruiting and hiring process; attend events, and interview candidates as needed
• Participates in discharge planning
• Possesses basic knowledge of computers, and a willingness to utilize computers on a daily basis
• Contributes to a positive work team by sharing information, using problem-solving methods, accepting new ideas, constructive feedback and advice from others
