Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is Hiring a Social Media Coordinator Near Buena Vista, FL
The Social Media Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Public Relations. Candidates seeking a collaborative environment, working with people passionate about youth sports and wanting to make a direct impact on a nationally recognized brand are encouraged to apply. This position is located at the AAU National Office in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Extended hours may be required to include evenings, weekends, holidays (primarily summer) as needed. Moderate travel may be required.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Develop and implement multi-platform social media strategy for AAU
- Produce short video promos for social that highlight AAU mission and support brand
- Assist with on-site content capture through professional cameras, cell phones and other media equipment
- Analyze and measure results of social media and marketing efforts
- Research and identify industry trends to implement on platforms that further promote AAU, increase exposure and drive long-term business growth
- Assist with advertising and overall marketing initiatives
- Write copy for social media, graphics and other marketing materials
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Experience in working in a multi-faceted, multi-deadline atmosphere
- Have a knowledge of industry trends and how to adapt them to fit company brand
- Maintain consistent and positive communication with internal and external AAU stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to meet critical deadlines, performed well under pressure
- Careful attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, social media, graphic design, video production, public relations or related field required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience required
- Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills a must
- Experience with social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube a must
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom) a must
- Knowledge of sports, especially the youth sports industry, a must
- Knowledge of video editing software such as Premiere Pro or CapCut a plus
- Knowledge of photography a plus
- Must be able to successfully pass an AAU background screening
