Two-Tone Paint Operator - Amarr - Lawrence, KS

The shifts runs Monday through Friday, working 3:00pm to 11:30pm. We are a climate-controlled environment.

The two-tone operator masks, paints and packages 2-tone paint sections.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• : Determine daily production requirements.
• : Ensures correct sections are selected to be painted.
• : Masks door sections to be painted.
• : Applies paint to appropriate areas.
• : Performs visual inspection of every section for even paint coverage, paint only on desired areas and correct color.
• : Removes masking material and ensures that no residues remain on finished section.
• : Stacks sections to dry on designated fixture.
• : Checks that paint is completely dry prior to final packaging.
• : Delivers completed sections to the shipping area.
• : Keep work area clean and organized.
• : Perform routine preventive maintenance as needed.
• : Assist Commercial secondary operations as required.
• : Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• : Operator must be able to see and distinguish all colors.
• : Standing/Walking: Job requires standing and walking throughout the entire shift.
• : Lifting/ Carrying: Job requires lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels. Maximum required individual lifting limit is forty-five (45 pounds). Must be able safely work with another team member to carry or lift door panels in excess of forty-five pounds. Frequency of lifting and carrying is job task dependent.
• : Pushing and Pulling: Pushing of carts is often required. Occasional pulling to steer the cart is required A force of 50 lbs. is required to move a loaded cart. Pushing forces required in excess of 50 lbs. requires two persons.
• : Manual dexterity: Grip small objects to load and clean paint equipment. Maneuver hands/wrists in repetitive motion consistently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

• : Must have basic computer skills including knowledge of MS office products.
• : Must be extremely attentive to detail and accuracy.
• : Able to handle multiple tasks.
• : Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• : Duties required professional verbal and written communications skills.
• : Must be able to work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment.
• : Oracle / Enterprise One / JD Edwards experience a plus.
