Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities. This is a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician at La Quinta Inn West Medical Center in Amarillo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hotel facilities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Conducting routine inspections of hotel premises to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Troubleshooting and resolving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and pool-related issues.
• Repairing and maintaining flooring, including carpeting, tiles, and hardwood.
• Performing carpentry work such as furniture repair, door installation, and cabinetry maintenance.
• Welding and metal fabrication as needed for various repairs and installations.
• Patching and repairing walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as necessary.
• Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events and functions.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, and addressing any concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
• Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool maintenance, flooring, carpentry, welding, and wall patching.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring manual labor.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• 8 hour shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
