This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are accepting applications for our Part-Time Safety Trainer for various safety classes who will will play a critical role in helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in safety training. Responsibilities include teaching both on and off-campus and assisting students in learning industry regulations, safety techniques, and safety procedures.
This position is filled on an as needed basis, contingent upon institutional needs.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Required: Certification of field on particular training.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Required: Three (3) years of experience in area of training
Preferred: Five (5) years of experience in area of training.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, and be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Environment: This job may operate in a classroom, online, or tech supported setting. This role routinely uses standard classroom and office equipment such as microphones, audio/video-recorders, computers, overhead projectors, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets and fax machines. Classroom location assignment may vary.
Salary: Salary is determined by the class taught.
